The Urban Electric Co. is a progressive company that takes pride in providing a positive and creative work environment.
We are fortunate to be headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, one of the most idyllic settings on the East Coast. Living in Charleston offers the best of city, country, and beach – and allows our employees and their families to enjoy a truly balanced lifestyle.
Our location and our corporate culture attract a wide variety of personalities and backgrounds into the UECo family. Jewelers, sculptors, actors, creatives and many others compose an eclectic and fun team. As well, we take great strength from our collection of races, ages, genders, sexual orientations, political affiliations, and religious beliefs.

The Urban Electric Co. is committed to supporting local, non-profit organizations that provide a basic need in our community. With this mission in mind, the company and its employees provide time and monetary support to several local groups. There are several organizations in North Charleston that Urban Electric supports including:
Fresh Future Farm – this is a nonprofit farm dedicated to growing and selling natural produce and groceries and teaching communities to do the same in North Charleston. Fresh Future Farm revitalizes unused city assets to grow chemical free food and create job opportunities that will transform the current food desert into a more self-reliant and robust community.
Lowcountry Orphan Relief (LOR) – this is a non-profit organization that provides goods and services to children who have been abused or neglected. LOR works directly with other non-profits, schools, foster parents, and government agencies to identify the individual needs of these and other children in severe situations. LOR intervenes at critical junctures in the lives of these children with products and services that provide a strong, positive impact.
Metanoia – this organization works with the residents of communities that have experienced decline due to lack of investment and capital flight. Metanoia invests in neighborhood assets to build leaders, establish quality housing and generate economic development in North Charleston.
Disabilities Board of Charleston County – we have been a proud partner of the Disabilities Board for over six years and believe strongly in the importance of its mission. The Disabilities Board works with mentally and physically challenged individuals to assist them in finding and preparing for exciting employment opportunities that might otherwise not be available to them. We are privileged to have several of their consumers on our team. To learn more, watch this inspiring video about one of UECo’s very own.
At The Urban Electric Co., we are very people-centric and we make it our mission to retain the highly skilled and motivated individuals that we recruit to our team. In an effort to do that, we offer competitive compensation and a benefits package that includes:
The Urban Electric Co. supports local sports and entertainment venues by purchasing season tickets which are available to anyone at the company. These include tickets to our local professional baseball, hockey and soccer teams, as well as aquarium, theater and symphony events.
To support our employees in their personal and professional growth, The Urban Electric Co. has a robust training program that we call UECo U(niversity). This program envelops a wide array of collective and personal improvement opportunities to include training in Safety, Leadership & Management, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement (Problem Solving), and provide opportunities for continuing education. We believe strongly that the company benefits when the individual skills of our team members are enhanced.
The UECo U Grant Program rewards employees for their contributions to our great company. We believe that providing opportunities for employees to enrich their lives will add to their personal development and contribute to UECo becoming the benchmark of the luxury lighting world. This benefit helps to cover a portion of the tuition, books, fees, and other expenses as employees advance in their personal and professional development. Additionally, the UECo Grant Program will provide Skill Enhancement training in areas where we do not possess the internal capacity to deliver training.
